Watership Down by Richard Adams (Raheela Yr 6)


It is a really good book. It is quite thick but totally worth the effort. Its is about a bunny who knows trouble is coming but nobody believes him. he gets a lot of people ready to leave the Warren.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid - The Ugly Truth by Jeff Kinney (Raheela Yr 6)

It is about a boy called Greg and he is unpopular. He worries about puberty and being unpopular. He has been invited to the coolest party but has to go to his Uncle's 4th Wedding instead.

Lola Rose by Jacqueline Wilson (Muntaha Yr 6)

The book is about a girl called Lola, her Dad lost his temper so her Mum, Lola and her brother ran away. They are starting new lives in London with different names and new identities. They are scared that their Dad might find them. I thought this book was so interesting and adventurous.

Gangsta Granny by David Walliams (Maryam Yr 6 and Kiera Yr 5)

This is about a boy who doesn't like his Grandma but when he gets to know her properly he starts to like her because she is secretly a jewel thief. It is really funny and interesting. 

The book is about a boy and his boring old granny but secretly she is a international jewel thief. I would recommend this book because it is so funny.

The Best Medicine by Christine Hamill (Sofiyah Yr 5)

Phillip's Mum has been acting strange. She cries a lot and spends a lot of time in her room. When Phillip finally knows the truth he decides to make a change, with a fundraiser and his favourite comedians. This book is very moving.

This book is about a cat called Varjak Paw who wants to be like his ancestor. He is not allowed out of the house. He learns about 'the way'. This book is really good, funny and sad.
