Beckfoot Allerton Primary School is a co-educational comprehensive primary school for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years (children in Nursery start in the September after they have turned 3). The admission number, agreed with the Local Education Authority, is 60 per year group. We hold Open Days where you can come and see our school prior to your child starting in September. Information on dates is available from the office.
At the present time there are 455 children on roll.
Admissions & Parental Choice - Nursery
We maintain a waiting list for admission to our Nursery. We admit 60 children each September into Nursery (30 in Morning Nursery and 30 in Afternoon Nursery). As we are a Community Nursery, if more than 60 children are on the waiting list places are offered to ensure that the diversity of our whole school community is reflected.
Children attending our nursery are not guaranteed a place in reception class. A separate application must be made to the Local Authority which is responsible for allocating places in our Reception class.

Arrangements for children starting school
Beckfoot Allerton Primary School is a Community school and will admit 60 children into Reception every September. There is has one intake each year in September.
Children will normally start full time in Reception class in the September of the school year in which they will be five.
Sometimes there are more children wanting a place at Beckfoot Allerton Primary School than there are places. When this is the case, the Local Authority will first offer places to children who have a sister or brother who lives at the same address and will still be at the school in the September they will start school. Places are then offered to children who live nearest to school (measured in a straight line).
If parents receive notice that a place has not been offered to their child, they may, if they wish, appeal to the Local Authority. Sometimes the appeals are successful.
Each year all new parents are invited to a meeting where relevant information is shared about our school.Applying for a primary school booklet Final Copy
