After a number of postponements due to the inclement weather, we finally got to squeeze in the finals event before the Summer Games. It was a valiant effort from our team who finished in second place, narrowly missing out on a place at the Summer Games events. Well done to: Ibrahim, Haris, Eesah, Ehsan, Haider, Eisa, Ehsan and Hassan.

Tuesday 7th May - U11 Netball: West-Bradford Finals
Following last week's success, Mr Kearsley and the Y6 Netball team headed back to Beckfoot Thornton for the West-Bradford finals. We had a tricky start, losing 3-0 to Girlington and 2-0 to Lidget Green. The results certainly didn't reflect the matches, as Allerton didn't take advantage of the shooting opportunities they created. Going into the next two games against Princeville 'Red' and Princeville 'Blue', Allerton turned on the heat and showed their impressive shooting skills, winning both matches 4-0. Team Allerton rounded up the tournament with a 1-1 draw against St Philips, which earned them 3rd place and a bronze medal.
Well done to: Haider (4 points), Rayyaan (1 points), Dylan (2 points), Aqsa (1 point), Ruqaiyah (1 point), Savannah and Tegan. 5 very competitive matches where you did yourselves and the school proud.

Well done to Group 1 winner Alisha who won all her 6 games and runner-up, Juveria who won all her 5 games.
Group 2 was won by Maha and Narmina who both played 5 games, winning 4 and losing 1. Jayden finished as runner-up, playing 6, winning 4 and losing 2.
Brilliant work from everyone who got involved. Watch out for more 'Fixture Friday' announcements for next half-term....coming soon!
